Attorney Jeffrey J. Clark has a broad range of experience representing individuals, small businesses, corporations, financial institutions and municipalities before state and federal courts.
Mr. Clark’s experience includes representing cities, towns, and county sheriffs' departments and their elected and appointed officials in cases involving municipal liability for injuries occurring on public property, as well as cases involving civil rights claims under state and federal law including claims under 42 U.S.C § 1983 involving allegations of police misconduct, excessive force, false arrest and false imprisonment.
Mr. Clark’s practice also includes estate planning, including wills, trusts, health care proxies, Medicare and Medicaid planning and issues relating to minors.
In relation to matters involving real estate, Mr. Clark has handled cases involving title defects, clear cloud actions, zoning, building code and sanitary code violations, receivership actions and eviction cases.
Mr. Clark has represented corporations and financial institutions in cases involving claims under the federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, TILA, RESPA, state consumer protection acts, and matters relating to foreclosure in both state and federal courts as well as adversary proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Since 1992, Mr. Clark has had extensive experience representing insurance companies and their policyholders in cases involving automobile accidents, personal injuries, homeowners claims, premises liability and cases involving allegations of insurance fraud and consumer protection violations.
Mr. Clark's experience also includes representing small business owners in matters involving covenants not to compete, proprietary business rights, and claims of unlawful termination.
